Baile: An Opera Miami

Editorial publication project developed during the Introduction to the Publishing Market Course at Companhia das Letras, inspired by initiatives like the book Sobrevivendo no Inferno by Racionais MC’s.

The project is based on Baile, the third studio album by the artist FBC. With 10 tracks, the album tells the story of a young man whose romance is interrupted by the arrival of the militia in the favela, leading to a process of resistance. The book’s narrative structure follows the album’s storytelling, expanding on themes of territory, identity, and social conflict.

 

The cover design is a graphic reinterpretation of the original album artwork by Raideno, adapted for an editorial context.
